MTS Pay (Powered by mChek) allow MTS customers to do the m-commerce services by just dialing toll free IVR 55556. It allows customers to do MTS Prepaid Voice & Data recharges, 3rd Party payments (DTH Recharges, Insurance Payments etc) & Mobile Banking.

Customers can do these transactions via any Visa/Mastercard Credit Cards or Bank Of India mobile linked bank account. It also allows customers to do the registration of his Credit card that saves the time and its safe n secure.

  1. How do I recharge my MTS Prepaid mobile using MTS PAY IVR?

    MTS customers can Dial 55556 IVR and recharge prepaid mobile.

    1. Press 1 MTS recharge & Payments
    2. Press 1 for MTS mobile recharge
    3. Press 1 to recharge own mobile or 2 to recharge other mobile
    4. Select amount OR /others mobile number to recharge
    5. Enter 16 digit credit card number, expiry date and CVV
    6. Press 1 to save card for future use. When customer does this, he only needs to enter 4 digit PAY PIN next transaction onwards
    7. Create a 4 digit PAY PIN and reconfirm PAY PIN
    8. Customer will receive a SMS stating he has to send OTP received from bank to 55556

  2. My MTS mobile number is not registered with my Credit card Bank, how I will be getting OTP? My another operator mobile number is registered with my Credit Card.

    In that case you need to request the OTP with Bank from your another mobile number as Bank will sent OTP to registered mobiles but yes you can use that OTP on MTS PAY transactions. Second in that case you can’t add your card to this 2nd MTS number as only one mobile number can be registered with one Credit Card (as per Banks).

  3. What is OTP?
  4. OTP is a numeric password which is valid for one time use only. As per Reserve Bank of India (RBI) guidelines starting from February 1, 2011, all merchants in India are required to collect an OTP in addition to information written on the Credit cards for all transactions done over phone (IVR). OTP is issued by the bank directly to the customer. The process of obtaining the OTP is described in later part of this document.

  5. Can I use the same OTP multiple times?
  6. No. OTP is valid for one login session. OTP is a dynamic password and is valid for the current session only. Validity hours vary from Banks, validity is usually mentioned in SMS sent via Banks.

  7. I want to delete my credit card from MTS PAY?
  8. Pls call to MTS Customer Care and give your Credit Card Deletion request, It will be deleted within TAT hours.

  9. I am trying to use my  Visa/Master Card Debit Card on MTS PAY but not able to do transaction.
  10. As per RBI & Banks Debit cards are not allowed for Mobile transactions.

  11. Will the talk time get credited to my number immediately?
  12. Yes, on successfully completing a transaction on IVR, your talk time balance will be immediately updated and you will receive an SMS from MTS confirming new balance.

  13. I enter right OTP even then I got failure message, what should I do?
  14. Please try after some time as some time OTP are failed at Bank & Payment Gateway due to time difference, wrong OTP or technical issue.

  15. Do I need to register with mChek in order to recharge Prepaid or pay for other services?
  16. It is not mandatory to register. You can enter credit card details for every time you wish to transact. However, if you wish to save your card and register, you can create a 4 digit PAY PIN and use the PAY PIN for all future transactions without having to enter card derails every time..

  17. I have forgotten my PAY PIN. How do I reset it?
  18. In case you have forgotten your PAY PIN, you can re-set your PAY PIN by pressing 9 to manage your account on IVR. You will be asked to enter a new PAY PIN and re-confirm your new PAY PIN. As a security measure, all financial instruments linked to your account will be archived and you will need to add your card details again.

  19. I made a payment using PAY for MTS Prepaid but I have not received a confirmation SMS.
  20. MTS CSD needs check in MTS CRM if transaction through mChek for the said mobile number on that date is successful or not and inform customer accordingly.

  21. Is there a charge for calling MTS PAY IVR on 55556?
  22. No there are no charges for dialing or sending SMS on short code 55556, its Toll Free @ Rs 0.00 /min/SMS.

  23. I used my earlier card to make a payment on PAY? Now, I have received a new card from my bank. How do I change my card on mChek?
  24. Inform customer to Dial 55556 and press 9 to manage account. There customer can delete existing card and enter a new card number, expiry date and CVV.

    5. Enter the Subscriber ID.
    6. Enter the amount you wish to recharge.

    8. If you wish to save card for future use, create a 4 digit PAY PIN.
    9. Send an SMS to 55556 with the OTP received from bank.
    10. mChek will process the transaction and send a payment receipt to customer.
    11. DTH account will immediately get recharged with amount paid.

  28. Is there any minimum amount for TV recharges?
  29. Yes you can do the minimum payment of Rs 200 for TV recharges.

  30. How does one pay Insurance Payments?

    1. Dial 55556
    2. Press 2 for Other Recharge and Payments.
    3. Press 2 for Insurance Payments.
    4. Press 1 for ICICI prudential, 2 for Bharti AXA.
    5. Enter the Policy Number.
    6. Enter the amount you wish to pay.
    7. Enter credit card #, expiry date, CVV (if card is not registered)
    8. If you wish to save card for future use, create a 4 digit PAY PIN.
    9. Send an SMS to 55556 with the OTP received from bank.
    10. mChek will process the transaction and send a payment receipt to customer.
    11. Insurance Policy will be updated on due date of payment and Insurance Company will send you a Premium Paid Receipt.

  31. How does one make a donation?

    1. Dial 55556
    2. Press 2 for Other Recharge and Payments.
    3. Press 3 for Donation.
    4. Press 1 for ISKCON, 2 for AkshayaPatra.
    5. Enter the amount you wish to pay.
    6. Enter credit card #, expiry date, CVV

    9. mChek will process the transaction and send a payment receipt to customer.
    10. You will get a call from the organization within a week where you donated and will receive a physical tax exemption receipt from them.

  32. How does one recharge DG Toll Tag?

    3. Press 1 to recharge DG Toll Tag.
    4. Enter 11 digit Tag Number
    5. Enter the amount you wish to pay.

    9. mChek will process the transaction and send a payment receipt to customer.
    10. Your DG Toll Tag will be instantly recharged when transaction is successful.

  33. How does one pay Tata Walky?

    3. Press 2 to recharge Tata Walky.
    4. Enter 10 digit Walky Number
    5. Enter the amount you wish to pay.

  34. How does one renew BigFlix and SeventyMM subuscription?

    3. Press 3 to renew BigFlix, 4 to renew SeventyMM.
    4. Enter account #
    5. Enter the amount you wish to pay.
    6. Enter credit card #, expiry date, CVV
    7. If you wish to save card for future use, create a 4 digit PAY PIN.
    8. Send an SMS to 55556 with the OTP received from bank.
    9. mChek will process the transaction and send a payment receipt to customer.
    10. Your account will be updated immediately

  35. How to access Mobile Banking?
  36. MTS subscribers who have an account with Bank Of India can link their bank account on MTS PAY platform and transact using their Bank account.
    How does one link a Bank of India (BOI) account on MTS PAY Platform?

    1. MTS subscribers who have a BOI account need to visit the nearest BOI branch and request for mobile banking services.
    2. Customer needs to fill and sign a mobile banking form
    3. BOI will do necessary KYC and enable account for Mobile Banking in 3 working days.
    4. BOI will send details of account to be linked to mChek.
    5. MChek will send an SMS to customer informing him that his BOI account is ready to be linked on MTS PAY platform.
    6. Customer needs to Dial 55556 IVR and create a 4 digit PAY PIN to enable linking of BOI account.
Customers can then check balance, view mini statement and transact using BOI account.
